Default Software version 0692

My dealer has agreed to update the software in my Q7 & A4 from 0443 to 0692 to address the front sensor issue. Anyone know what other differences there are in the new version?

At dealer now and says my VIN shows no software update needed. I currently have 0443.
They went ahead and sent it to the back to see if it can be done.

may I ask who your dealer is?

will probably get it done at your dealer assuming it's a different one than mine... I was told no software update available when I just brought it in earlier this week for a brake controller install. I currently have 0443.

Why wouldn't the dealer update it? Cadx, you make it sound like they are doing you a favor when in fact you just bought a new car from them and that should be part of the 50k/4 year warranty....IMO is that not correct?

As he explained it, "Your VIN comes up blank as an update needed for the MMI, we make money from Audi when we do software updates on cars so its not like we don't want to do it"

In the past you have to find out if the update specifically updates a problem. Then go to the dealer and say you have x problem and then they will do the update.

To get the MMI updated in my A7 I had to say I'm having issues connecting my bluetooth phone which was one of the problems solved by that version.

I agree. My Q7 was built in March & has V0443. I stressed to my service rep that, to me, the current operation of the front sensors is a safety issue. I don't want to be taking my attention away to push a button while pulling into my garage - plus I have a car eating pole (that holds up my office on the second floor ) that's been after my A4 since we got it - the previous TTS didn't come as close.
My appointment is Tuesday. I'll post results as soon as I'm sure it gets done
