Squeak near rear driver side around cargo area

I had my wife sit on 3rd row to find the source, she thought it was the tailgate privacy shade, but it wasn't.
It's more like flexing/rubbing sound, plastic-like. It happens only when I go over bumps/potholes, or if I am going on a ramp/coming down / tight turns, it's almost only when there is a flex/large movement.
Can't replicate when I brake hard or accelerate.
I checked, it's not the 2nd row seatbelt buckle. I removed everything from 3rd row and storage area, except the cargo net.
I am thinking it could have something to do with the "storage" panel on cargo area, maybe the styrofoam stuff moving around, so next step is to empty that area completely and drive without panel. Funny thing is it comes and goes and I can't pinpoint what triggers it.

I happened to come across this thread in the Q5 forum, not sure if it relates to your noise but it couldn't hurt to take a look for some ideas...

It sounds very similar to my issue, I seriously doubt that it's sunroof related, but like he did, I will be removing everything this weekend to see if I can pinpoint the issue. Like he said in that thread, it's very annoying because Q7 is also extremely quiet so you end up hearing every creak and rattle.

Just for the heck of it, put a small amount of white grease on the rubber "stops" that are on the hatch..
We had an Infiniti SUV a very long time ago that had a very slight creak/ squeak that was coming from the hatch area. So in addition to adjusting the rubber stops, so the hatch would close tighter, I added a small amount of white grease and the noise never came back..

I took mine in for something similar and it turns out that there were two diagonal braces underneath the car that attache in the center of the vehicle. The screw that was holding them together had started to unscrew. Luckily for me, I was able to show off the noise in the parking lot at the dealership. So far after the fix, it's quiet!
