Correct. As this thread is titled "VCDS mods on 2017 Q7" I assumed we were talking about a 17.

After making this change and driving for a day, it seems as though start/stop would not engage under circumstances when it normally would. It would always display the white A in a circle with a slash icon.

If I turned the HVAC all the way off, and also turned off seat heat and ventilation, then the start/stop would engage for a split second and then immediately re-start the engine. As long as the HVAC was on, it would not engage at all.

I have to play with it some more. I want to try a value like 2 or 3, and maybe 10 to see what the effect is.

Anybody else confirm this can work for them?
I am sorry if it was mentioned above, but how the Q7 behaves on mild hybrid systems (MHEV)?
If disabled, the MHEV engines will not work probably as they should?

I had this idea to modify how the START STOP System works (i wanted it reversed light on is off when S-S system is off when start the engine) but I gabe up to modify with the battery mod (cant remember the exact procedure, changing Volts or something like that)

OBD11 costs 39.99€ + shipping. For VIM you need 100 credits (you get 11 credits for signing up and you can watch 7 adverstisements daily for 1 credit each). You can also purchase 100 credits for something like 12€ ?? No need to get the "PRO" version if you don't plan on doing any diagnostics with this dongle.
Isn't that much of a cost really (comparing to the car).
You can modify it with VCP when purchase the original device and VIM manager
there is a trick you have to bypass the firewall (who have vcds, they know how to do it)
and thats it even on 2020 model

Any Update on this? I have VCDS Standard (Wired USB version) and ready to code/adapt as needed. What/Where are the specific ODB II instructions? If ODB II can do it, VCDS should be able to....
