Default Water pump class action

I received class action documentation to fill out and return today. I did it right away and mailed it.
if you did not receive it here’s the site:

What are the details? Will VAG extend the warranty? My 2018 has only ~44k miles, but I suspect a new water pump will be in my future regardless.

Thanks for sharing! Since my water pump didn't go out until 76K miles, looks like I'm outta luck.

I’m confused - will they only give you money if yours has needed replacement or even if yours is fine at the moment they’ll still give you the money because it’s defective? Either way I have the extended warranty so I wouldn’t have to pay

The terms are VW will extend the warranty on the pump and reimburse 75% of the cost. You need to provide a receipt of the repairs or if you DIY of the parts you bought.
if yours was not replaced there’s nothing to reimburse you for.
Am I the only one who got this letter?

I had the settlement letter in my pile of mail when I returned home last night.

I replaced 3 water pumps on my 2012 B8 S4, then two more on my first 2017 Q7, then another one on my 2020 SQ7 - all under warranty - but can I get compensated for this lunacy?

How is it that this can continue to be such a weak link over all these years?

Knock on wood I haven’t had to replace mine, the class action paper came in the mail today. I guess unless it breaks before 8/10 I’m out of luck haha. I do have an extended warranty
