that is the "old" B8 A4 though... curious to see how the new B9 A4 will fare in the same test.

amazing how well the driver's compartment held up in both the Q7 and XC90 despite their higher weights compared to the A4 in the same offset test.

Oh ok (on A4). Hard to beat law of physics. Strong frame require a lot of metal - meaning higher weight. What really confuses me is when modern cars still get blown by collision tests, when engineers have all these computer modeling software at their disposal and can do virtual crash tests in the comfort of their offices.
