I just bought an Audi Q7 2021, and as I tried to setup the carplay it goes well but it didn't show the window option to use apple car play on my iPhone. so it didn't work.
Any solution? Thanks

I didn't have any problem setting it up in my Q7 but i believe you do need to have the wifi enabled in the car and BT connected to the phone. I am under the impression it actually uses both technologies simultaneously. Also, when Carplay is running no other BT devices can be connected. I have an iPhone for work that I use Carplay on for WebEx and an Android personally. Good luck.

I don't think you need to have the WIFI on for the CarPlay to work. I turn off the WIFI on my iPhone when I'm in the car as it overheats when I'm using wireless charger. The CarPlay works fine with just the BT on just make sure its initially paired.

Go to General - Carplay and Forget the MMI device

Go to Bluetooth and do the same

Remove the device from your MMI

Then re pair by going to connected devices Nd adding it to bluetooth

It should prompt you to connect Carplay

Next time it will Uto reconnect as long as bluetooth and wifi are enabled on your phone

So you have to turn your wifi on for you to have carplay? Mine just connects via BT.

Wireless CarPlay connects via Bluetooth and WiFi however it doesn’t appear as a WiFi network on your phone.

I went through this exercise recently with an iphone Xs and wireless CP was a hit and miss proposition, mostly miss. It got to the point that I turned off wifi on the car and plugged in my phone to use CP. The dealer couldn't find anything wrong with the car and they presented me with a 7 page TSB about connecting the phone to wireless CP. I got an iphone 12, turned on wifi, and it's been a month of perfection. No idea why the Xs wouldn't work, it was running the same iOS as the 12.

It might have been Siri. It has to be enabled in order for iPhone to work in CarPlay mode.
