'83 urq mirrors issues

If the mirrors are in all the way, take your hand, and manually...
push firmly but gently on the outer edge. If they are adjusted out all the way, do the opposite; push on the inner edge. You should feel the mirror pivot point click as you do this.
Someone may have hit the mirrors??? and pushed them to the limit of the mechanical motion. Then see if they won't adjust properly. Just a thought.
Most electric mirrors allow for manual adjustment. Someone feel free to correct me with regards to the UrQ, so this chap doesn't break his mirror due to bad advice, but this will solve your problem if it's not an electrical issue.
