Default Any BTDT's on headlights acting funny....

...Have the H4's in my Urq. Highbeams are fine but low beams are like city lights, really dim but no draw when you switch back and forth from Low to high beam. When it first happened the low beam eventually came on but now it's all the time. Before I put it up for the winter I tried to track any shorts down, Nothing. Looking for possible areas to narrow search. Could the switch be shot? Thanks.

Default Are you running high wattage bulbs?

If so, and no relays, your switch is probably melted. Actually, it's probably the switch even with standard bulbs and wiring.

If you've installed a harness with relays, you could have a bad relay. I've had a few cheap relays that would occasionally require persuasion with a screwdriver handle before they'd engage. Of course, that would give you no light at all, and you say you get some dim lights. Do you have the city lights wired up?

Default My headlight switch just went out.

Click to park I'd have all the running lights and interior normally. But click to headlights, either high or low, and the headlights would come on but the rest of the running lights would go out.

Tough choice for the drive home, headlights or taillights? hmm...

Default Nope. Been fine the last two years then one day they wouldn't come on all the way. Sometimes....

...they would all of a sudden come on. Now they are like that for good anyway. I tried to check some grounds and wires for loose connections or bad wire, nothing. Everything looked clean. I'll mess with the switch first, had a problem with the switch on my 4kq.
