Mine will get a monster 10VT motor soon...
I was building it for a type 44 but that went bye-bye... so... into the UrQ it goes. Pretty standard 10VT build.
- Sleeved block
- Custom 8.5:1 pistons
- Shot-peened & micropolished rods
- Micropolished crank
- D-ported and flowed head
- 7mm stem big valves
- MC2 cam
- RS2 replica turbo
For break in I will be very careful with the oil given the issues with modern crappy API oils. I'm going to run a stock 5000 WG spring with no ECU assist so it will only make a few PSI during break in.
I'm also hunting for a set of Brembos from a 993 to complete the big brake conversion at some later date (hopefully before the engine takes flight).
The question I have is where does one put a better intercooler?
