Default Bruno's 83 Urquattro

I've got Bruno's URQ safely back in Austin. If anyone wants some detailed information or photos on any particular part let me know. Its essentially an 83 Quattro frame, but thats about all the similarities. Imagine a Quattro frame without anything on it. Then start adding SportQ and custom parts. So far the only thing that is from a URQ is the windshield.

Default Pictures of Bruno's RallyQ

Pulled out into my Driveway. The Light array was a nice extra that wasn't supposed to be there. Thats my A8L in the distance. And my Friends 94 S4 to the right, barely visible.

The Kevlar Hood open. The Fenders, Hoods are all Kevlar. The Engine bay is immaculate.

The interior showing, the elaborate SportQ upper dash. On the left is the ignition, starter buttom, switches for the fuel pumps and Air conditioner switch. The car has a SportQ aluminum compressor.

Best shot of the RS2 turbo. Best I can tell, the 40mm restrictor is at the housing. It will have to come out to replace.

The intake manifold. The intercooler is to the far right.

Thats it for now, I've got no more space on the Audiworld HD.

Default If I can find local events suited for the car.

There aren't any Prorally races or SCCA rally races of any kind in the Texas Region. I might be able to AutoCross it, but its not really made for that. So for now, the goal is to get the Catalytic convertor in it, put some street tires on it and get the car street legal. So for the most part it goes into "mothball storage" I think the car is making its natural evolution from racing machine into historical machine.

First scheduled drive is a "Driver's Edge" event in Bryan texas, where I'm going to stretch it out to gingerly see what it can do.

Default $27,000 including...

The Car, a 22' Wells Cargo trailer setup for the car (blockouts,Winch, ramps)
and numerous spares (A transmission, a rear diff, one set of suspension w/ rotors, Another set of Fuchs, another set of Gravel tires, Intercooler, 3" Catalytic Converter, and a 3" street muffler.

Not too bad considering the work thats been invested in the car. The engine is a Lehmann tuned 20V Alum. Sport Block shipped from Liechtenstein in 1999. Its got 3100 miles on it, and idles and runs so smooth its comical. The transmission is from Ingolstadt and Bruno also got that in 1999.

Seemed like a really good deal considering how difficult it is to get these type of parts in the US. The car is pretty much the closest thing I'll see in my lifetime to a early 80s Audi rally car, something I never dreamed I'd own. And the cost of doing a conversion of my 83 UrQ seemed to go higher and higher. $800 dollar headlights, 1500 dollar exhaust, 1500 dollar turbo, $5000+ for a 20V engine, $500 chip, etc. etc. And part of me wanted to keep the White UrQ as stock as possible. So this solves many problems for me.

Default So this was Bruno Kreibich's car?

Very nice, you would be hard pressed to buy the parts alone for the car for what you paid, assuming you could find the parts to begin with.

So, what are you going to do with it? As long it you can afford it as a track or fun car, it would be nice. I wouldn't think that it would be very realistic (not to mention comfortable) to convert it to a street car. It would be great to see on the street though...
