Hello all,
just as an FYI to all close by to this event.
I have been there now multiple times and can say only good things. Great organization, cars, people and surroundings.
So this year we (Paul and I) had an idea to show up in force with UrQuattro's.
We are looking for as many as possible from Michigan, Indiana, Illinois and Ohio area. And anybody that wants to drive even longer.
Anybody who has an UrQ and is interested please contact me via e-mail.

Disaster update:
The morning started out OK. We left at 0530h and it was all good until my voltmeter moved to the red about half way to Kalamazoo.
With the recent rebuild alternator initially running perfect at 14.3V the issue was identified quickly. We made it all the way to the gate at Gilmore, where she died.
The Museum team helped me out with a spare batterie that jumped to the installed one and could at least move again. That lasted only to the parking lot on the outside of the museum, then that old battery was dead too.
Paul, by then had arrived, loaned me his service ride and I could get two new back up batteries from a local auto parts store. Then, we just drove home with the voltmeter in constant view, pretty stressful but we made it.
A big thanks to all the folks that offered their help, the Gilmore team and specific to Paul, I owe you big time buddy.
We will do better next year.
