Default I can likely repair your ECU for you.

Price will depend on the time spent and parts used. For a full rework I would think that at the most it will be $150. That includes new capacitors, replacement of blown transistors and drivers.

I am unable to test the MAC02 myself but there may be a local UrQ owner who may be willing to allow a test session?... anyone.. anyone...? Craig? Martin? Anyone else?

Default Not quite.

The MAC-02 on the WX DOES have basic fuel maps (for open loop operation, WOT, etc.) that control the frequency valve, just like the later MAC-xxs such as the MAC-11.

The MAC-01 used on the WR engined cars does not have any mixture control, so it has no frequency valve.

Default Anyone in so cal have a 383F ecu

I have been trying to get my URQ to run properly and one of the last tests is to make sure my ECU is working properly. Anyone have a shop they can recommend for testing or if anyone is near glendale ? That I can swap the ecu for testing would be appreciated

Hello Nick,
There is really no procedure or any AUDI recommendation to check these. If yours is bad you need a good old fashion electronic expert to check these out.
Have you checked all your wiring, connectors, actuators and sensors. These are most likely the root cause for issue on our toys.
Good luck in casing your issue down.

Ciao
Werner

Hi Werner,
Thanks for the response, the car runs, the issue i am having is when I get it about 4K rpm, or even on the way there, I have no power ( no the 4K cutout ) . it seems to be bogging down. I have checked all the items per the Audi IST doc. it runs smooth at idle & slow driving. its just bogs down under load. The Fuel pressures are within range, the sensors are ok. ( I am going to check the Speed and crank sensors again today) . I had the FD, aux air Wur rebuilt by FIC. I have put in new injectors, fuel pump, filter and accumulator. I have tried to connect a DMM to the duty cycle connection behind the firewall, but i get no measurements. it just shows 0. I wanted to have the ECU checked out to see if I am actually getting the "enrichment" signal to the Frequency Valve. Only thing that hasnt been rebuilt or verified as working is the ECU.
