Default here's basically what I did.

<img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3104/2859813154_3f5ca3bec6.jpg?v=0">

I welded the locking collar to the rear output shaft. Its in the position where its normally locked.

The shims nestle in that and then the center differential actual engages on those teeth, forcing everything (basket and both output shafts) to rotate together as one. I did leave the gears inside the basket(can't hurt).

I welded up the hole where the diff lock rod goes through.

Default yep... the locker is a simple but neat concept.

I discovered how it worked when I had to do the rear diff seals on my 90q a couple years ago.
