What you get for chasing down Mustangs, Vettes, E30 M3s, 911s, etc.

Default Re: You can still see the tread.

When you can see the underlying carcass, then they are worn!!!

Default Original Yoko AVS Intermediates?

Great tires, but old technology now.

I had a set of those on my 240Z, and they actually got stickier as they went bald, which yours appear not to be. All of a sudden they turned to Teflon. You'll feel the difference easily when it happens! Toss 'em then. The tires were 7 years old by that time. And at 6 years, they were still soft.

In the meantime, have fun with them!

Default Hahaha, you guys are sick!

We're still getting rain here in Seattle 2 or 3 days a week, so I went ahead and mounted up the 2 remaining AVSi that I have. The rears are so/so, I imagine they'll be more like what you guys are describing once these new fronts are done.

BTW, I got 3 sets of these babies when TireRack was blowing out the last of their stock. Old-tech, yes, but they're very consistant to slide around on.

Cheers,
Rich
