(Apologies to those of you that didn't watch the show....not that there's anything wrong with that)
The last day of the old millenium was December 31, 2000....not 1999. So I guess if they developed quattro (from the DKW Munga, which was in the 60's) before December 31, 1980, then it _was_ "in the late 70's"

thought about it even as long as the time you spent typing that.
I think it was someone related to marketing that spent all of 3 seconds reading some technical information and then knew more than enough to write the article.
