I've done about 8 of these so far... if there is interest for about 10 more I would be willing to do a run. They would come with all hardware and bushings.... reado to bolt on.
Price would be in the ~$150 per bar + shipping.

Let me know.
Cheers

Default Could you modify this bar to fit a 5ktq?

If so, I'd buy one in a heartbeat!

Default Gawd...my Quat would be rotating with the slightest flick of the wheel.

Seems like an awfully stout diameter. Can you donate some feedback as to how it affects track performance? I mean, I know body roll will be drastically reduced, but I like tighter lines, not scrubbing speed because of excessive drifting. Not that I dislike drifting, either, but my car is going to be putting down some serious power, and as is, just lifting is going to cause rotation, would be my guess. I guess I'll have to stay on throttle. ;-) I'm interested, but like Rich, I'm on the fence.

Default I believe it's a front bar.

Stiffer roll resistence up front is gonna generate some push. You'd have to match it with a pretty stout rear bar. I was thinking of putting that up front and moving the front bar to the rear. I'm an '85 so no factory rear bar.

Wouldn't stiffer springs be a better solution for a track car?

Yes, but we are talking about street use... I use them front and rear and handling is very neutral..

Default The first time I used them on a quattro was for my 5 bolt 4kq.....

This was a great set-up... with the Eibach springs and stock shocks the ride was nice and soft yet very controlled...
The handling was very neutral and you could play with understeer and oversteer in the same corner... it all depended on how you entered the corner.. under braking into one the back end would come out, but just... and you could keep it up with throttle... my 4kq was not powerful enough so this would change back to understeer on the ctual exit... If I had a turbo I am sure I could keep the slide nicely all the way through.

The most fun was on ice/snow... the car would change direction on a dime.. I have some video footage and it's unbelievable how reactive it was... if you had gotten it too sideways too early you could correct and then get back into a slide in a fraction of a second.

Anyhoo... not trying to sell it... I am just very happy with the setup... for street and ocasional fun.
For real track use, smaller sway bars and stiffer suspension would be the way to go.. but that gets a bit harsh on the street.
