That's an easy question. But what I've often thought about was if I had to trade it for another car, (and use it as often as my urq) what would I replace my urq with? So far I can't think of many. I drive my urq any chance I can. Two weeks ago I noticed my 94 S4 had a flat tire. Oh well, I guess I`ll have to drive the 83. Funny how I haven`t found the time to fix the flat.

20K is right at that mark where I'd consider it. But I wouldn't really call my car "nice." It's heavily updated and upgraded with big go, stop and turn. But it still needs cosmetic work, like paint.
auditurboquattro's car, however, I would call "nice." And it's worth every dollar of that 20K, in my opinion.

I'd consider selling my rally for about 100,000.
My street car i'd sell for about 10K as is (in pieces). :-)
I'm totally upside down on the street car. But when I'm finished with it, it'll be worth about that or maybe a bit more. 034EFI 10V with a magnesium cam cover and Intake manifold! I'm going to keep the solid lifter head.
Probably fabricate a tubular exhaust manifold that looks like a rally 10V type. And then bolt on a GT30R.
