Wow, just got the Michelin TB Course 270/45 R15 tires for the rally rims. They're badass looking

Here's the English size designation. Their section width is dead on 10.6" wide which fits a 9" rim nicely.

End of view. The tire patch is just over 9" wide with 3/4" of tire overhang back to the rim.

They are the only tire I've seen which fits on the 15x9s aside from pure Hoosier slicks, and they're original fitment for old Group B cars. I wish they were about 1/2 their current cost. They're wide and soft which means they'll grip like crazy.

they're ideal. I think the checker rally tires are DOT legal as that is the whole point of the treads being on there.

http://www.michelinsport.com/sport/front/templates/affich.jsp?codeRubrique=600&lang=EN</a

straighten out a set of the wide rims after all. I've got a pile of them, but I doubt any of them is anywhere close to round.
I was looking at the Michelin N's before, but these might well do me fine.

I don't really need them that wide. Most of my rims are 8" and I don't have that many 9"&10". Most of those are pretty shot too.
