Default Acid staining garage floor?

Anyone here done this?

My new 4 car garage will be done soon and I am thinking about staining the garage floor before I move anything into it.

(Don't want the Audi to have a boring old garage to live in)

Picture?

Default Exactly.

Not totally sure on cost at this point. Few hundred bucks if I do it myself?

Default I don't know much about this...

...but it seems to me like acid staining would leave a porous surface. This one in the picture is glossy and the color is not consistent.
I love the look of the floor in the photo, but is that all there is to getting that look? Just prep the floor, then a one-step stain?

Default YOu have to etch the floor, acid stain, then you need to seal. As you said it becomes porus

after the acid staining and needs to be sealed.

I may also go this route, rather than the epoxy sealant. Looks killer

Default Hmm. The prep and stain would probably be the easy parts.

I bet that clear coat, if really durable (i.e. worth doing), is pretty expensive and has nasty fumes. Nonetheless, I love the look and think it'd be worth doing right.
