Default Any AWers live in Commons Park West downtown? or recommendations on where to live downtown?

I'm planning on moving down there (CPW) and if I say someone referred me, they get $500 off rent. Also wanted some feedback on the place.

Default a buddy of mine is moving into a place at 22nd and market (cant remember the name)(m)

they have a few openings left. Also, go to www.postproperties.com, they have a place in a nice location downtown as well. If you are willing to bend a bit, I might reccomend the cherry creek north area...plenty of access to downtown via speer, and lots of dining and shopping stuff...a little less expensive than downtown. If you want more cherry creek details, let me know.

It's called 2200 Market and I've checked them out. Thanks on the CC, but I want downtown.

Default Don't move into Commons Park West

That complex basically sucks for lack of a better term. The rent seems cheap at first but then you find out that they charge you for everything, parking, water, gas and electricity, which are all standard on new buildings, but then you have to pay for trash collection and about 3 other little things you never even though of. My experience is based off of the looking I did last October so maybe they have changed things. Plus that neighborhood isn't the greatest. That's uptown, and there are some not so great spots just a block away from that place. Check out that safeway on 18th sometime, or as the residents of that area call it the unsafeway. Check out this website, cliffdwellers.net, or call up an apartment finder service and tell them that you are only interested for units in a condo building. They don't charge and they'll give you a list of places. It's definitely the best way to get a great apartment downtown for a great price. I have a place in this building called the Prado, 2 bedroom north & west views, 1250 sq. feet, and 2 garage spots for $1400. My girlfriend found her place the same way, she has a 3 bedroom palace in writers square and they pay $1750 with 2 spots.

Default Are you sure you are talking about commons park west?

I can't vouch for the charging stuff, but I can ask my girlfriend if she was charged for all that stuff. But it isn't in uptown. Its on the "corner" of 14th and Platte. It overlooks the Platte River, little over a block from the REI. Or maybe I'm thinking of the wrong place?
