Default Anyone with an early B6 do the AERO wiper conversion?

From what I've been reading it seems worth it. I'd like to check someone elses out just to see before I throw down for some.

Or if anyone here has a 2004.5 or newer (that's when the wipers went from the suck to the good).

Thanks!

Default not that worth it. my wife's has the AERO and i have J HOOK style. look inside.....

you only have a few choices of blade types to chose from with the AERO's and they normally are not available at your local parts shops. you either have to give the stealership 50 bucks or order online for around 20-30 bucks for the set. now, with my more standard J HOOK type on my S it is very easy to choose and find what i want for 15-20 bucks. the only good thing i can say about the AERO is that they really are a lot easier to install.

Default Though not a B6, I use Bosch Icons

Which are very similar to the "right" wiper blade. And can be had at your local auto parts store.

The Bosch icons work on the the "J hook" as mentioned.

Default I think they definitely worth it, compared to all the other aero blades I've used.

I tried literally every blade manufacturer that offers an aero style blade, and usually after a few days, they started leaving streaks or missing small patches on my windshield. Most people could probably live with it, but it annoyed me to no extent. I ended up getting the aero wipers and they work fantastic. Whisper quiet, fairly long life, and they never leave streaks or miss spots on the window. I also enjoy not seeing my wipers peak up at the bottom of my windshield.

I think if you did not want to throw down the cash for them, then the PIAA regular style wiper blades are the best you can get. In my opinion, get the OE aero arms and blades, or stick with the regular style blades. All the aftermarket aero blades never worked as good as the regular style blades......

Default I have an 05 B6 with the Aero wipers.I can't compare them to the pre-facelift

but they are super easy to change, and clean the windows really well. You can check them out any time...

Default Changed over to aeros on my 02, glad I did.

Kept having the cheap square connector that attaches the arm break on me, and since audi only sells it as part of the kit with the entire are, got really tired of spending $90 for a new arm when all i needed was a 5 cent piece. Get a kit online, kits from the dealership will run you allot more.

Default Ive had them for about 1 month...

not impressed...
if you have any imperfections on your windshield... they seem to skim over the water in those areas leaving me with huge blind spots.

Default I swapped the aero's last year. The aero's are superior in all condtions except

freezing ice/snow. The older design was beefier and didn't cake up like the more flexable aero blades.

Default they don't make them for the early model B6 A4's.

2002-2004.5 takes this audi only blade. some of shaved/trimmed and modified other refills to fit, but it is a pia.
