Default Looking hard at buying a Scott right now.

The CR1 is amazing compared to the other 9 bikes I test rode. Stunningly solid, yet smooth -- it doesn't hammer you with vibrations but it's crazy fast and responsive.

Default orbea ...

Have ridden a fair amont on the Orca and Opal. Carbon has come a long way since the old days. The Orca is very smooth and has a great "light ,quick feel to it" I weight about 190 and is pretty stiff for a road bike. You will have a tough time flexing this one. I have also rode the MTB bike quite a bit this year. Pretty sweet!

Also be aware that the 2007 models are all new designs. A bit stiffer all the way around.

Default i rode the felt and didn't like the 'feel' but i rode the scott and i almost bought one.

i was looking at the scott cr1 series and the felt f55's. i thought the f55 might be nice since it had the carbon rear end and nice light setup for a good price. the soctt was much more money but i rode much better. i almost bought the scott, but after riding my current bike i am glad i didn't.

I don't have any exp with Orbea.

Default IMHO...

Felt is at the bottom of the 3 you mentioned, don't get me wrong, they're great bikes, but the Scott and Oreba are better if you can afford them..

Default Owned 2 alum/carbon Orbeas....

Spent 1.5 seasons racing an Orbea XLR8R (w/carbon seat stays) until I snapped a chainstay during a race. Orbea replaced it no questions asked with a Starship aluminum frame. My point is that their warranty and replacement policy kicks ***. but after 1.5 years of racing the Starship it has turned into a noodle.

I saw some torsional stiffness tests done by Specialized on a bunch of other brands. The Opal was actually stiffer than the Orca but the Scott was about twice as stiff as both of them. The only bike more stiff was the Cervelo R3.
