Anyone know what the quality of the Flying J gas and desiel is like? Compared to Shell or Conoco?

Because I've been to a lot of very sketchy gas stations and have never experienced "bad gas"...
Are the newer cars more delicate with their ECU's (I've got a 91 20020v) and thus more sensitive to fuel type?
I know that there are better gas companies (shell, exxon, etc) that have additives added to reduce carbon build up... and I tend to go to those better gas stations with my car... I've just heard a lot about "bad gas" since coming to Colorado from New Hampshire whereas I never heard of it being a problem back east.
Who has experienced bad gas in their car? What are the symptoms of it?

I have seen bad gas destory whole fuel injection systems, definitely East Coast. You can get older tanks with sediment, rust, water, etc. It can be pumped from under ground tank into your car. Also, it depends what refinery the gas company is getting their supply. Since most stations are part of the big chains, you do not see the problems as often.
