Default Custom install radar/laser?

New A6 S line. New to audiworld. Live in Littleton. Want to install radar/laser detector. Who does custom install, good work, fair price, etc. in Denver metro area?

Have been reading about built in unit by Passport unit with laser shifter. Anyone with any experience or other suggestions? Thanks.

Default Do a seach on the different forums for V1

You will find many installs done and you can choose which one is right for you

Default Great idea, Thanks

Currently leaning toward Passport SRX, a bit pricey but very clean install, especially since I'm leasing, it can all be removed.

I've looked at some of the V1 posts but will delve into it further. Thanks

Default If I was buyinig - I would go V1

Just has done so well in independent mag tests. And postings I have seen here -

About the only complaint I have heard of the V1 here is the scanner going off too much. Not knowing enough about the issue - I wonder if there was something wrong with the units or the setups by the people using them. No one seemed to indicate that they had worked with Valentine to solve the issue.

Default I have the escort 8500 with the SR3 jammer, so good so far, they do make

a kit combining the two, more expensive. Reason being, radar portion has external sensors (supposedly more accurate). Contact Western Radio at 303.320.4913 ask for Andrew and tell him Adam sent you. In regards to the install, they do a great job...SVE installed my diffusers, cut the tail gate and mounted it flush.

Default I visited Western Radio today. Thanks for advice. They said....

They said I should get the passport srx. Expensive but very nice unit. Has everything the 8500 and the SR3 all in one tight package. Small head unit they said they could install in front center of dash above steering wheel in front of the gear indicator. Radar and laser jammer sensors built in behind grills in front and same as yours in the back. Also said would be easy to remove if I turned the car in at lease end.
Thanks again for the suggestion.
