Default did you get the memo???..........Streamline Industries 396 E. 2100 So. SLC, Utah..........

Yesturday Elf at Streamline intalled a custom (true) downpipe in my KO4'd 1.8t A4. The car has been great and now that I had that put in, the car just opens up in the higher 5500-7000 RPM's range. The car has always pulled real hard in the 3800-5500 RPM's range but would always taiper off after about 5500-6000 RPM's and there would sort of be a flat spot and I would have been better off shifting gears at 5500 RPM's instead of pushing it up to 7000 or 7500 RPM's.
Basically what Elf did was take out the cat and the existing intermideate downpipe and replaced it with one of his own custom built true one peace downpipes with itigrated cat.
While driving to work this morning I thought I would test it out a bit. I pulled onto the freeway via the 600 So. on ramp in SLC and as soon as I was able to pull onto the freeway (8am not to much traffic on I-15 south bound) I opened it up. I was in 3rd gear at about 60 MPH, the needle just jumps from 60 to 90 MPH with no hesitation or hicups. I also noticed that when I get on it really hard in 2nd gear there is usually a flat spot in between the high 2nd gear and lower 3rd gear. It's no longer a problem, no flat spots or hesitation. For the hell of it I went with my brother in law on some back streets in murray and we raced a bit. He has a 01 1.8t GTI VW chipped and a few extra things. We are usually neck and neck untill we get on the freeway (I'm always faster when we get up in the 60-80 MPH range) but today he got his a$$ handed to him. The next think on his list of MOD's is Elf's coustom downpipe.
Over all I love it. I notice the gains in this MOD and feel they add as much as a chip would in power. It did make my car a little bit louder. Not much but the exhaust is a little more noticeable now.
Big thanks to Elf and Hans over at Streamline Industries. In the words of Elf himself "keep driving EVIL!"

Default Elf told me he was working on something like this. Sounds like it works!

I've been very happy with them and the work they've done on my S4. The only hiccup has been getting parts - I know most of that is the vendors not coming through.

I need Hans to do some piggie pipes for me now.... 8^)
