Default Do dealers profit from warranty service?

I ask because my experience with Ed Carroll has gone from 'good' to 'irritating' to 'never again'. If they get a cut on regular maintenance that falls under the warranty, I definitely don't want to give it to them. And if it costs them money, I still probably wouldn't deal with them again, but it would at least give me a little satisfaction. On a related note, are most people that deal with Stammler generally satisfied?

Default The shop has its own profit center - not tied to the sales

They get x amount from the mfr for warranty work. If they control their costs then they could make more than other dealers.

I had the feeling that a BMW dealership was doing warranty work on my car that was unnecessary (cleaning of the valves etc) when the car was running perfect.

Default I despised Ed Carroll for Audi stuff.

The Audi service writer there lied to my face several times about safety recalls that Audi had in place.

In contrast, the VW writer was attentive and extremely customer service biased. They did a great job on my wive's Passat.

So I geuss if I still had an Audi, I'd go far out of my way to avoid Ed Carroll. I'm mixed on the VW...

Default Never again

I must be the only customer of theirs who ever had a trade-in, didn't use their financing, or didn't live in Larimer county. That, or they are just a bunch of *****. My 2 month temp tags have almost expired, but the registration paperwork is still "in the mail". Sigh.

Default stammler is good, I have been using them for about 15 years now.

their no loaner policy bites, but the shuttle service has been good, and they are always responsive.
