Default Driving to Lake Taos...

Taking next week off. I'm not in a hurry

Which way to go?
I80 all the way to Reno, or I70 to US50 to Reno?
Pros and con.

Any input would be appreciated.
I've never done either drive before.

Thanks
:-)

Glenwood canyon and wildlife on the median in Utah will keep you awake, I-80 in Wyoming will not. It's worth it once you get there but neither drive is a good one. Be safe.

Default no, it's not. he said in his post, "i'm not in a hurry", ....

and it's not even one hour difference.

if you'd rather drive through straight-line wyoming flats, than curvy colorado mountains, more power to you

god's country? whatever.

I-80 is the easier drive. Mindless. I-70 is fun if you want something to look at and corners.
