Default Drove the new Saab AWD Turbo today in Boulder!! My reaction:

I realize the Subie WRX is a hot car expecially in the budget sized market that wants some performance and Saab has basically taken the WRX and put a Sweedish body on it. The interior is very Japaneese, cheap *****, terrible stereo (upgraded version sucks).. Seats were very good although not the luxury Saab type by any means. Armrest was so low that it was worthless. I drove a 2.0 Turbo which was VERY slow off the line with the Turbo not even kicking hard until 3500 RPMS.. I think my UR S6 is faster off the line!! I was surprised how gutless this thing felt from a start unless you really winded up the RPM;s first. Once it got going it was powerful but did not feel like 227 HP. Suspension was TOP notch, firm well controlled and in Boulder I could scream accross RR tracks and into the 63rd st curves with no issues. the shifting was very notchy (stiff) and very dissapointing. Styling looks very much like the WRX and Saab is taking a chance to abandon the loyal Saab fans by straying away from the Sweedish way.. Ignition key is on the steering columm now. Next Saab to come is the SUV which is nothing more than a GM truck with a Sweedish badge. Got to do better than that!!

Default Never been big on saabs till the other day, my fiance is picking up a 93 viggen as we speak. Car was

quite impressive actually, I was suprised. 70 cubic feet of storage, upgraded suspension and brakes the car feels tight. Found an 01 with 18,000 miles Saab certified. Shes going from a stage 3 GTI to this and is in love.
