Gebhardt Automotive, BestVwParts and AutoSport Werks have joined forces as primary sponsors of a fund-raising event to benefit The Children's Hospital of Denver to be held on July 25th in Boulder. This is a fun-filled, all-day event for the family.
The FREE all-model Volkswagen show and the start of the Poker Run will be held at Gebhardt Automotive at 3150 28th Street, Boulder, CO. The end of the Poker Run, the Euro Show and the After-Party will be at the Boulder Reservoir. The Entry for the Euro-Poker Run is $35 with net proceeds going to The Children's Hospital -- $5 from each entry fee goes in the poker prize pot. Volkswagen of America has donated lots of free giveaway items for participants and other sponsors have donated many door prizes as well. You can pre-register at pokerrally2004@hotmail.com or register the day of the event. The normal gate fee to the Boulder Reservoir will admit you to the Euro Show and the After-Party - this fee varies from 2.50 - 5.50 per person depending on age.
At the FREE VW Car Show, USA's Largest VW SCCA PRO RALLY Team will have drivers and cars available for photos and autographs. This show will feature the 4040Racing.com "THULE Car Rack Systems Rally Test Team" and driver Brooks Freehill.
The Euro Show will feature AutoSportWerks.com's Race Truck-Trailer and 2-3 three Super Euro Cars. These autos were featured in European Car 2004, these cars include one of the Porsche GT race cars that is featured in races all over the USA. These cars are seldom on display.
The Euro Poker Run will be at Gebhardt Automotive @ 3150 28th Street in Boulder, Colorado and wind through the foothills, ending at Boulder Reservoir where the Prizes will be awarded. There will be five checkpoints for you pick up a playing card and at the final stop the BEST hand wins the $5 from each entry fee in the prize pot - there are other prizes for other types of hands. If you have never been on one of these drive-at-your-own pace Poker Runs you are in for a treat. Bring the family and it is not necessary to have a European car in order to enter the poker run, the more the merrier and the more money we raise for The Children's Hospital of Denver.

What?
I don't understand why your event would be on the same day as another planned event.
Someone enlighten me please???
One would think that you would want the events to compliment each other not conflict.
This whole Poker Run thing seems screwy to me. Someone care to share the real story with me?

and asked him to reschedule the Grand Prix of Denver since it falls on my birthday, and that's been the biggest thing going mid-August for the past 33 years! ![Wink](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
REMINDER: the Grand Prix of Denver is August 13-15 so don't miss it, unless you have a lame excuse like me.
My guess is no one will forget about this conflict next year -- or they deserve a book of your cluepons.

I'm still wondering why this would be planned like this.
Makes no sense to me and it would seem like it's only going to make the event suffer for participants.
Screwy deal if you ask me. Who's behind this Poker Run thing?
