Default That is a big **** turbo for a 1.8L motor...wow

I would make sure you have your head fully P&P larger exhaust/intake valves and springs, tuning to increase redline, and a wicked flowing tubular manifold and exhaust.

Hopefully the anti-surge intlet does it job..as I suspect that if you 'bog' the engine down below say 3000 RPM and try to go wot..you may get compressor surge...

I am sure Hap can comment as he as quite the 1.8 himself...and from what I hear it pretty much rips your head off.

Anyways hope I am wrong and really comes down to how you drive the car. I had a GT35/TO4E hybrid on my 2.2L S4 and it was/is quite the ride above 4K.

When you do get it to work..you might want to get some washable seats

Default Hehe :)

Teknically, its not going to be a 1.8. More like a 2.1 Yes, its not a standard head, going to spin well over 8 right now, and working on a solid lifter head. and I will post some pics of the exhaust manifold we are building in the next few weeks.

i do think its all about how you drive. with the 2-step you can get off the line harder than most any n/a or small turbo car. And you can use the gearbox to keep the car in the powerband. mind you, its regardless probably not gonna be an auto-x car.

Oh ya

The other car is apart, downpipes are in the works. Hope to have something you can see/hear by next weekend. Super stoked. Its been a huge pain in the butt/ordeal, but worth it in the end.
