Default Heading to either Vail or Breck tomorrow from Denver

Going for a day trip to take advantage of all of this lovely white stuff. ;-) They're calling for up to 18 inches of snow in that area by end of day tomorrow. Should I be at all concerned about road conditions on I70? I've got the snows on, and won't be in any rush...
Maybe Sunday might be a better day to head up?

Default On phone right now with friend in East Vail. Roads are pretty bad right now

lots of cars in ditch. Best to leave Denver area no later than 5:30 am tomorrow. Any later and you're looking at 2-3 hour drive.

Default traffic is going to blow

If you're that set on it, it might be longer but faster to take 285 to hwy 9, especially with that bridge on I-70 at Bakersville being under contruction.

Default hmm... maybe Sunday would be a better day...

if it snows into Saturday night, i have to imagine it'll still be powder conditions Sunday.

you expect it to be less crowded than I-70? how about general road conditions?
