Default hey, quattro nole--tell me about your GTRS kit

How do you like it? What did you have to buy besides the kit itself? What software?

Thanks!

Default Inside>>>

I've had my kit for almost 2 years and have put over 50,000 miles on it. I don't know if I pay more attention to details or if I've just been lucky because I haven't had the problems that you read about. It runs strong and fueling seems to be sufficient for this altitude. I bought the hardware kit and the fueling kit directly from ATP. It is not an easy bolt-on kit like APR's, but takes some creativeness by the installer. I have made many posts of my experiences with the kit, all the way from the initial installation. Try searching here and primarily the B5 forum with my account ID, then get back to me with any specific questions you have.

Default Depending on your budget, you may want to look into the GTRS kit offered by 034

I've got the 2871 turbo on my car (200 20v) and I love it. I understand the 1.8t kit requires a supplementary fuel injection kit and obviously software...

I have been completely happy with the garrett turbo and the support I've gotten from 034.

Some people claim the garretts aren't as reliable but I have not seen the claim proven anywhere.

Check it out if you want.

http://www.034motorsport.com/product_info.php?cPath=21_102&products_id=268</a

Default BTW, I really admire what you've done with your car.

I'd like to check it out sometime when it's convenient.

Default Wow, thanks Pat!

To tell the truth though, It's not all that polished. I haven't had the time or money for anything cosmetic and I may have a slight boost leak right now as well as a bad 1st-2nd syncro. Everything looks pretty much stock at first glance, but if you really want to check it out, I'm going to try to make the Dave & Busters GTG on the 28th. When you see it, just keep in mind that it is a DD that sees about 30,000 miles/year.

I wouldn't mind seeing your sled either! You are one of the AWers I have always wanted to meet.

Default how is the mika of the b5???

on the b6 1.8, REVO has a good tune for the GTRS, but nobody seemed to get their car to run right with Mika's version. just curious???
