Bummer. In situations like that I don't even bother going around them unless I have days of room.

Default Really, I had no choice - it is a one lane entrance to I-25. She stayed in the lane to go straight

then cut over the solid white line to make the entrance at the last second. She hit my d/s rear door first, so obviously she just didn't look and came over assuming that at 5:50AM there was nobody else on the road but her.

Default That's crappy... Last year I was rear-ended twice at stoplights. Some people

just don't pay attention to anything.

sorry to hear it....if makes you feel any better,
I was behind a person trying to get into a gated parking lot, in a minivan....all she had to do WAS PUSH THE BUTTON for a ticket, the gate would lift...and you can go in....

she had to get the attendant to help her...after several minutes, of talking the attendant asked me to back up...so she could back up....literally one FOOT! .....so she could PUSH THE BUTTON....

Oh ya....they are out there...

Default I hear you...

not saying it was your fault at all. She clearly wasn't paying attention and clipped you. Same EXACT thing happened to me in 2001 by a lady driving a...you guessed it...MINI VAN! Damn near killed me. Now I give them plenty of space even if it means hanging back until I know they're no longer a threat. Glad you are alright buddy. The car can be fixed.

I'm stunned it was a woman. Damn, sorry that happened. Sucks big time.

Default 1st Accident for me (ever) on Gunclub Rd. on Thursday

Sorry to hear about your accident with an idiotic driver. I had a similiar experience on Gun Club Rd/6th Ave.(Westbound). This idiot in a Ford F-150 Lariat ran the stop sign at Picadilly (where the sand pit company thing is) and proceeded to pull directly in front of me. I was doing probably 60mph, slammed on the brakes, but there was no way to avoid hitting him. Oncoming semi-truck and about three cars behind that prevented me from going into oncoming lane to avoid him. Anyway, he did about $2,000.00 worth of damages to my A6. I'm pretty pissed.
