Default Would you prefer the horror stories?

My mom died in '03 from a blood clot following knee replacement surgery. She had the surgery on Weds., was being moved to rehab on Sat., she paged the nurse at 3am on Sat. that she wasn't feeling well, within 2 hrs she was gone.

I fault the hospital more than I do the Dr., St. Anthony's north. When I last saw her on Thusday night, I could tell she was having problems, when I commented to the nurse, they blew it off. We had suggestions that we should sue, but my Dad and I made the decision that we didn't want to drag the family through it.

Default 2nd for Schneider

The whole staff (except for their annoying fat receptionist lady) is great there. I had a couple ligaments reattached in my ankle and my boy broke his arm and had it fixed there.

Default But if you go to Cornerstone, watch their billing practices....we have had trouble with them.

and they did a hack job on my wife's knee, she ended up with a massive blood clot from her ankle to her hip due to the fact that Hsin and Schneider both felt she was young enough that she did not "need" anticoagulant therapy after knee surgery....even with a known clotting disorder.

Just tread lightly, sometimes being big like they are is a bad thing (even if they work on the Broncos or Kings, etc), our 25 minute surgery ended up costing us about $20K out of pocket thanks to their billing office and insurance issues.

Dr. Andrew Parker did mine. He's also the doctor for the Nuggets and Avs.

Default wow. That's where I had my ankle rebuilt (Dr. Dan Ocel), had no problems.

They sort of have a specialist for each limb. I know a few people that have used Dr. Hsin and really liked him.
