Default Inexpensive Windshield Replacement near Denver - No Insurance
Need to get my front windshield replaced when I get back (in Australia now). Any inexpensive shops near Denver area? I will not be claiming this through insurance.

Default I would highly recommend Elite Auto Glass, 1st rate service and inexpensive...
I had a windshield replaced with an auto-dimming mirror reinstalled which was fairly tricky and have had several rock chips repaired. I can't say enough positive things about this company.

Default Between me, my wife, and my bro, all 5 of our vehicles have cracked windshileds!....
I've never replaced a windshield. About how much should I expect to pay for one and what is the downtime?

Default That will depend on the vehicle, might be as little as $150 upwards...
to $600 or more. It really depends on really illogical factors. There are a few online that will give quotes; just type in description of vehicle. One, I recall, is Safelite. Downtime, shouldn't be more than an hour and most will offer on-site installation w/ no extra charge.

Default I have a friend who works at Safelite but will do it on the side for a pretty good price
I'll see what he charges for it. When would you be doing it so I can give him some info.

Default Just heard an Elite Auto Glass commercial this AM .. "$179 for most cars" ...
... of course, there is always that chance the A4 doesn't fall under the "most cars concept". Worth a call.
