We are starting to plan a wedding for Mid-August of 2007. Does anyone have any contacts or work in any of the related scams... I mean businesses. Photography, floral, catering, alcohol, DJ, sweet ride to use as the getaway car, etc...
We have a venue (Evergreen Lake House), but that is all so far.
Any contacts/ hookups/ advice (who to go with and who NOT to go with) is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

They did a GREAT job with our wedding.

Tell them Justin Pollard sent you. Lyndon is a great guy to work with, and takes some incredible shots.

She's in Estes Park (where our reception was held). Pix of the cakes, which were DELICIOUS. We got lots of compliments on the cake.
Groom's chocolate cake with italian butter icing (those are chocolate pinecones). My idea of chocolate icing with a hiking boot imprint on the top with chocolate twigs got axed by the wife, but was do-able by the cake lady :/

Wedding's regular non-choco cake with something else icing.

Also, we were the guinnee pigs for Kokoro Photography. The first paying gig for an indy photog. She takes more of a candid approach to wedding photos, rather than lining everyone up like a mug shot. That said, when we wanted to line everyone up for a mugshot, it turned out uneven. If you want samples, I can screencapture some from our online album. The good part about it is that she only charged us $700 for the photos, and this includes the album and prints! I'm very happy with our candid pix. The arranged ones, are just meh.

My wife's cousin got married at the same place, very nice location.
As to the other options......well, I can recommend a great travel agent to help you escape before you make a mistake.
