Default I used the blue masking tape for a trip to Vegas...(I have a clear bra)

People will look at you funny, but works great. As soon as I arrived, pulled the bugs and dirt right off...no wash needed, except for the windshield. I'll take all the paint protection I can get, clear bra or not.
I ran the tape almost all the way up the hood, covered the bumper, and mirrors.
If it rains, the tape will come off though.

Default Pull the tape off when you get to SLC.

If comes right off, but stays on while driving. It's all in how you apply it 8 - )

Default Used the blue painter's tape to mask the S4 on the way to the Eurotuner GP

in L.A. . I admit to being a little bit **** about the car's cleanliness, but then again it is being used in magazine shoots and ads.

The blue tape took ten minutes to put on the front bumper, lip of the hood and the mirrors. The car was in Utah, NV and CA in heat over 100 for several days. No problem removing the tape, and if any of you saw the disgusting mess that came off ON the tape you would want to do the same. The tape was over a clear bra, and it still took a good washing in LA to get rid ogf most of the bugs. Some of the nastiness is still on the grill mesh which I will have to get to with a scrub brush.

If you want to keep the car great looking, who cares what the people in passing cars think on your road trip ?

Default blue tape can be had at home depot and you can use it if you want, but imo

you don't "need" it. I would put it on if you don't have a clear bra. Don't worry about the heat, but if it gets wet, it'll come off. I would recommend getting the widest stuff possible.
