Need 3 Audi tools for my timing belt job. Does anyone in Denver metro have these that I can rent?
- cam lock bar
- crankshaft lock pin
- chain tensioner tool
- crankshaft lock pin
- chain tensioner tool

We just did it with only the cam lock bar. I still have Nigel's if he'll loan it to you...
If there was one other tool I would have wanted it would be a cam gear puller.

Thanks Chuck. Hopefully Nigel won't mind me borrowing it. If I have to, I'll just buy the crank
lock pin and tensioner tool. Can't you just use a 2 jaw gear puller for the camshafts?

You can borrow my cam tensioner tool if you want. In my experience
the crank doesn't move once at TDC. You will need it for crank seals though. The cam is the one to worry about.

thats fine. I have the tensioner tool also. Don't have the lock pin
But, you can use a 2 arm gear puller for the cams. Don't use a 3 arm, I've seen cases where people have scored cam gears using a 3 arm.
