Default The thermo coupler died....

and the pilot light went out. When I got up this morning it felt cold and when I got out of the shower the vent was blowing cold air so I knew something was wrong. It was 62 in the house. Checked the furnance and noticed the pilot light was out. Tried to get it re-lit but it wouldn't stay on. Knew the gas worked because the water heater was going.

Pat hooked me up with a friend of his who talked me through everything and pinpointed the coupler over the phone. I removed it, got a new one at Home Depot ($10.49), replaced it and fired the furnace back up. All is working well and the house is warming up (got down to 59).
