Default "Driving" a snowcat is easy. "Grooing" takes some finesse and delicacy as does park work along with

the ability to visualize what you are trying to build. It's like building a big sand castle, if you can do that and learn to drive a cat, you can probably do parks. I love grooming and doing the prep work for parks and pipes is TONS of fun. Moving mountains of snow with a winch cat is a blast. But snowmaking is where it's at for me. Getting the guns dialed in and making the best product I can is what I like. It's an aquired skill...as is any other job in mountain ops. Plus there is always some catastrophe to deal with in snowmaking, it keep you on your "A" game. I like that. Eventually I'd like to manage a snowmaking/snow surfaces dept somewhere nice.....VT ; )

Default That's awesome! I have no problem with cold water, I sail until the ice prevents me from doing so.

I am building a sick H16 right now. I can't wait to sail it. I had to sell my last 16 in 2006 before joining the Navy and I totally regret it.

<img src="http://photos-b.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-ak-snc1/v378/171/16/1163813651/n1163813651_30210001_3809.jpg">

That was also a fast boat but this new one is gonna totally screw! As much as I love winter, (it is my favorite season) this past season has sucked for me and I simply can't wait for summer.

I don't compete at all. I have a few times but it never caught my interest. I just like to go solo as fast as I possibly can, in the best wind I can find. It looks like a good lake for that, there are hardly any trees around it.

Are you in CO? Do you sail too?

And for the record, there is GREAT mexican food in VT.....just not a lot of it. Miguel's Stowe Away, in Stowe (OK) and Julio's in Montpelier. And in Burlington there's Bueno Y Sano, Big Chilis Republic and New World Tortilla. And the plethora of other EXCELLENT restaurants is worth living there for. If you are ever up in the Stowe area again, go to Hen of the Wood, in Waterbury. It is a bit pricey, even more thant he Whip, but their food is to die for. Hands down the best cuts of meat I have ever had. And most of the food is organic and all of it is locally grown.

And if you are there in the summer or fall, at there Stowe Farmers Market there is a Pakistani women named Afghani (no joke) who sells these traditional wraps with a sauce called Chutney. They are AWESOME. I would get like 3 or 4 of them and sit and the grass and relax with my girlfriend every sunday.

Default Yeah I'm in CO and pretend to sail, likely going to buy a boat with a buddy here soon..

Something slow with a fat bottom so that kids and wives don't get freaked. What I really want to buy is a Alden shell and row the crap out of it for exercise, but time isn't on my side to get full usage out of it!

I've spent quite a bit of time in VT, but I guess I never found much Mexican food I liked. But then again, I like everything smothered in fresh green chili which isn't easy to find outside of the SW.. ;-)

I would LOVE to have that boat, that thing is sick man!

Anyways, good luck on your decision and feel free to e-mail me with any questions! I'm more or less a native as I moved out here when I was 4 from CA.

And the Shed... ;-) That's a high carb liquid meal all on it's own!

Default The Shed was my 2nd home....1st being the mtn ops building and 3rd being my apartment.

My favorite it the chicken natchos. Damn good meal after a day off hard charging on the hill.

Default The more I read about the town and the surrounding areas, the more I think that I could easily do

two years there...but not much more. Endless exploring opertunities, and it looks liek i could hike a peak a week and not run out in 2 years : )

Not going to bring the S4 though. Probably gonna get a used SR5 pickup or Forerunner for a DD.

Quick Reply: Possibly moving to CO. Looking for some insight.
