Default Q's about buying car outside CO
Say you buy a car out of state, what do you do for plates so I can drive it back to CO?

Try to find out local laws to make sure that burning through that state with no plates, temp or transit tags cause problems. I know here I and others have been fine with a bill of sale/title on the way home.

Default According to Jeff Co DMV, you have to get a temp tag from the state you're buying the car in
JeffCo DMV

Default I bought my S4 in UT and drove to CO. I had UT temp plates from the dealer.
and I had them on until I got my CO plates.

Default Suggestion
Borrow plates from a CO car that you have and put on the car. Only a issue if you are pulled over - and even then you will not be ducking anything as your tags represent you - and you have the bill of sale.

Default I was thinking
all I need for a Co temp is Bill of sale, VIN #, and insurance, Right?

This may make it easier
