Question regarding Driving Without Insurance in Colorado
So I have a troublesome younger brother who just got a ticket on his motorcycle. He's been riding without a license, insurance or registration. Before you start flaming, just know he's in college and I've already given him an earful.
From my understanding, the No Insurance ticket is the most serious. I told him to try and get insurance today, but I'm not sure if thats enough. After the insurance, I'm assuming we can get the registration and license. Do you think we would need a lawyer for this situation?
Any advice? (Other than smacking him across his head).

He really stacked it up there didn't he?
Well, I got pulled over on my motorcycle a long time back when I lived in Kansas City with a temp license. I got a ticket for that, but since that was the only thing I didn't have, I went in and talked to the judge to get an extension, went and took my exam immediately and they dropped the ticket after that. In your brother's case though, I think they will not likely be very lenient since he probably couldn't even prove the bike was not stolen..hehe.
Maybe that is a good learning lesson in life though, no offense. Tell him to get the thing registered, get his license, insurance and get a magnetic tank bag!!!

from what I have seen in court on my few visits there is
they will generally drop the no insurance ticket as long as you get insurance before you show up for your court appearance. Of course he should also get his license and register the bike before he shows up. I have never appeared for these offences but while waiting I have seen tons of no insurance cases where the judge asks if you have gotten insurance since the ticket and everybody seems to have some sob story of why they could not afford insurance at that time but have since found a way and the judges seem to be pretty forgiving. Since he seems to have the trifecta here with all 3 offences they may be a little more pissy with him but if he gets his license, registers the bike and has proof of insurance it probably wont be that bad and he can use the old I am a poor student story to try and soften the blow.

Yes you need a lawyer...............
He's lucky the bike wasn't impounded at the stop. Many jurisdictions will impound a MC if the rider is stopped and does not have a MC endorsed license.

Have you ever asked an older brother for advise? I think that is all his brother is doing.
I can't imagine that he has any intension of changing his brother's sh*tty diaper(figuratively speaking.)
