.. got caught a few times .. some cops were like "alright kid, put that thing away" others were all "you're in so much trouble" then I'd say "how about I push it back to the shop?" ...

Usually this was on mostly empty industrial type streets ... but on very non street legal race bikes.

But I saw a dude in his full on drag car get hauled to jail and the car towed doing the same thing ... so ...?

so I never had anyone to ask for advice.

My point is that the kid was acting like he was adult and hence needs to be treated as one. It seems that the family is taking care of fixing his choices - he will continue to make the same stupid choices in his life

He got his insurance and is getting the registration within the week. Its a little unfortunate because the people he rides with dont carry licenses/insurance. So he thinks its kind of a norm.

Cant blame him too much though. My license was suspended in college due to speeding and I had to spend 9 months roaming Boulder on a bicycle. I suppose our parents has the worst of it...
