Default Ran a short burst with an M3 this morning, what model?

It isn't the new one with the side grills, and certainly not the really early one with the boxed fenders. I don't know my BMW's, but how many models fall between? I follwed him onto Broadway as he punched it and I jumped on it as well as I turned out. I wasn't really reeling him in until late in second which could have been becuase he was backing off. Pretty impressive as I consider my car to be reasonably quick. First time I saw him in my neighborhood.

Default I had a similar experience at Watkins Glen while driving a 944TurboS...

I had an M3 behind me coming through the esses and on to the staight, I just could not shake him and there was no way he should have been there. My car had over 300hp and is lighter. Come to find out he had about 120 hp more than I expected with a supercharger. Looks can be deceiving!

Default The B5 S4 really doesn't have much punch until 3rd. That's the PoWAr!

I used to run my friends EVO all the time. We were pretty even until top of 2nd, beginning of 3rd. After that, bye-bye! Seemed to be the same thing with E36 M3s, they are very quick though. Also remember if someone gets the jump on you, it take that much more to catch them and then start to pass them.

Default It was black, and in Highlands Ranch

I really expected to reel it in with no problems but wasn't gaining on it much. I think given more road I would have started closing on it. Like someone else said, where the S4 impresses me most is in 3rd and up. Of course he had the advantage of being first into the 90 degree turn from a stop, but I got a nice launch, even spun the tires a tiny bit which is always hard to pull off!

Hope I can flag the guy down sometime. It would appear he's right in my neighboorhood.

Default sounds like an e36

Having an e46 i have looked at the 36 forums form time to time...they have a turbo kit for those cars and damn with that they are very fast indeed. S4 should be fast if both are somewhat stock
