Default So Audi of America may cover my fried ecu

Some how the wires that run to the crusie control controls grounded out. Pics of the piece:

Piece removed:

And now the ECU:

So I went to start my car the other day, put the key in the ignition and tried cranking it, but it just kept cranking. Then smoke started rising from underneth the steering wheel.

After talking to a few people at Audi of America, they decided to take a closer look at the car. So they towed my A6 up to the audi dealership up in boulder to investigate a litter further. Hopefully the decide to replace the ecu and crusie control.

They have been extremly nice to me they even said they would cover the cost of a rental car until this is all worked out.
