Are steel braided lines or performance brake lines worth it for the street?

I understand it offers better response because no flexing of the hose when pressure is applied.
The down sides are corrosion and potential rubbing issue (I guess because they are not flexible as much???
If I ever do the A8 brake mod - I might add them.

the SS braid. Then you don't have any issues with corrosion or rubbing.
They offer marginally better brake feel on a car equipped with ABS.
Not really worth buying unless your current hoses are quite old...

smoother action with less pedal stiffness. I would go for it, but then i was having some brake issues to begin with.

Might be better/cheaper to just bleed them and replace the fluid with good fluid like Motul. If your lines are old and shot, then you would see an increase in pedal feel with the SS lines.
