Default sushi class in denver?

anyone know of a sushi class they can take in the denver metro area?

I don't want to become a chef, just want a slight idea as how to make my own.

It's also a good dinner date, from waht I've heard.

Default don't know about a class...

but you can pick up a book and get the basics. I think the hardest part is getting the rice right, and I'm not a big fan of the sushi juice you can buy at the store. It should be a simple sugar/vinegar mix.

Default getting right amount of rice is critical and using the little bamboo mat to roll it matters too!

Also, the rice needs to be sticky, but not TOO sticky... there is a bit of an art to it! They call Sushi Kimbap here in Korea because they pretty much HATE all things Japanese, but the principals in making it are the same and the ingredients are pretty much the same as well.

Default x2 on the rice. And I had...

...a sushi party for like 15 once...so I have a pile of the rollers I'll never use. LMK if you want one. Our four. Yeah. Old GF and her friends, so yeah I'm happy to lose the memories.

Oh yeah, on the rice, use pearl rice, and wash wash wash wash wash the rice before you make it. I've heard you want the preboil wash water to come clear, which I've never actually accomplished but you can get darn close.

Default TJ: Hey Bob, how are you at welding aluminum (alu-minium)?

I'm looking to get some disk brake mounts welded to my hardtail, but don't know where to start looking.

Default actually, i think its a bit different than sushi

kimbab can be done with no fish at all such as beef, pork, cheese, vegi, etc. I think sushi is a bit more crafty in its creation. Kimbab is almost like fast food, although some kimbab shops are crazy fancy...

im korean too and dislike japanese except their cars, bikes, boost controllers and models...
