Default Sway bar question

Is there any reason, when adjusting an anti-roll (sway) bar, to adjust them evenly on each side? In other words: if you have multiple holes is it necessary to have the drop link be in the same hole on each side?

I think not, because the load is spread out from side to side. Being able to only move one hole on one side would double the fine tuning that I could do on the bars' settings.

The other side of the argument is that moving one side unevenly will pre-load the suspension and make the car turn differently.

Thoughts??

Default I've heard of others doing it and liking it. I'd call 3R and ask them to be sure.

I can't think of any reason it wouldn't be alright, but what do I know?

Default Here's an answer from Rennlist

This is from one of the better tech's on Rennlist, I think it makes sense:

"Mark a few things.

From a Physics perspecitve, you are correct that using different holes in the same bar will give you a different stiffness. Now from a Geometry perspective, without adjustable drop links you WILL put some preload into the sway bar."
