Default Update - Stammler gets a thumbs up

I talked with my usual SA today while waiting for my car to be ready. All repairs being taken care of under warranty. In fact, even though only the passenger headlight washer is broken, they are doing both as preventative.

In talking with my SA about the cam seals, I got the price of the timing belt I thought it should be, quote, 7-8 hundred.

I know people bag on the dealers, but when one does you right, have to mention it.

Booooooo....j/k Stammler has always treated me relatively well -- even with an aging B5 S4...

Default they went above and beyond to help me get my cam seals, valve cover

gaskets and turbo oil return lines covered under my extended warranty. Mike was who I dealt with and he was good.

And anyone know how long it should take for the oil to burn off the exhaust manifold. I am still getting a faint burning oil smell especially after runing the car hard? Or do they all do that? Maybe I'm being too sensitive.

Default Mike is the man...

When my old A4 blew up in the middle of wyoming. He got AoA to make a car payment for the length of time my car was in the shop. Which was a long a$$ time consider they had to order the heads from Germany.

Default all dealers get mixed reviews it seems

Stammler tied to screw me over, so I will never go back to them.

Default details inside

Details below about previous experiences. Basically the service guys wouldn't work on my stock car that had a part failure because they said I must have done something aftermarket to it to get it to fail. Parts department has always been good to me there tho. I have several co-workers who have had nothing but problems with them as well.

Stammler stories

Default Agree.. that's pretty crappy...

For my non-warranty work I use 3zero3, Stammler used to be a real pain in the *** to get into for service. Since they've sold off the porsche part, it's 2-3 days to get vs. 2-3 weeks. I've generally always had Mike as my SA, and he's been pretty good.

That's not a cool experience, considering everyone knew early MY S4's had the TBB issues.
