I have a 2001 with 18K miles. The last oil service was the 20K service done at Prestige when the car had 14K miles (MAY). They are saying I'll have to wait 10K or 8 mths. I'll need an oil change before then. They dont have shorter intervals for oil services???

10k is what I've been told, but do it anyway at 4-5k

You can get your oil changed at any time. You should go to the audiusa.com website and set up an account. You can view your service intervals on there.

FYI, I went to Prestige and asked for an oil change just before my 3100 mile road trip (about 3 weeks ago). They overfilled it and reset my service interval like a bunch of dumbheads. Might want to think about that.

Now why would you reset a service interval (I still had like 3600 miles left)?

I told them I needed an in between oil change because I was going on a big trip through the desert. Oh well, at least they were friendly.

Do you do your oil change or have Prestige do it every 4-5K? If Prestige does it, do they charge u?

I dont understand if the warrenty means oil service every 10K miles or 5K miles??? Also, anyone know if Prestige uses Mobile 1?

Audi will only pay for service intervals/oil change every 10K...in between it's your dime.

they did the 40k service at 25k and will do the 50k service at 30k, right before the warranty is up. works for me.

Since my car is bit older (2001) with such low miles, I'll ask if they can do that too...
